I was
watching Australian Masterchef recently and was intrigued by the concept of
edible art.
While I think the art side
of the concept is fun, and oh so clever, I do think that destroying the art by
eating it is hard to get your head around.
When the
art is just on one plate and can be replicated for other diners then it is just
a fancy dessert.
When it is a major
installation then the idea of people wandering through and eating bits of it is
weird – not to speak of the hygiene side of it.
